-the closing inspection will be very thorough (we knew this going in and opted to just pay the cleaning fee, but we felt we could have easily passed it if we had a day to do so; they do a white glove inspection and its important to get the nooks and crannies that many will forget about such as the fridge lining, oven lining, above doors and fans, etc.)
Our visit was I short stay but a pleasant one. We were extremely satisfied with the customer service provided by Ms. Sue and Ms. Theresa. Ms. Sue is very polite and willing to help me with any billing issues I encounter. Ms. Sue would go as far as walking me step by step through the billing online process to be sure we did it properly. We deeply appreciated her generosity and kindness. Ms. Theresa for maintenance responded to us right away with any maintenance issues, we felt very confident whenever we had an issue it would get taken care of as soon as she received our request. These two wonderful women have our family leaving with a heavy heart and cant thank them enough for making us feel so comfortable and welcome.
-realize that no matter what condition the place is when you move in you will be expected to leave it in a very clean condition
you follow all of their guidelines. It's a complete scam to overcharge you on the move-out and to keep most of your deposit. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.
-always take lots of video/pictures
-make sure you put you notice to vacate in on time (up to 60 days)
Some lessons learned:
I came from out of town to look for homes. I got lost when trying to return keys to Hunter Rental and called them before closing to let them know I'm just a few minutes away and if they could wait so I may pick up my key deposit. They refused to wait (I showed up just 2 minutes after 1pm) . I asked about my deposit and they said they'd mail it to me. It never showed up. I called later to follow up on my key deposit. There were no notes on them mailing it out, but they said someone did send it and they are no longer responsible for it. That's more than enough for me to go with another company.
Soldiers please do not rent from this company. They are the rudest and most scamming company I ever dealt with. The move-in is a good process. The problem is the move-out. You will fail the move-out inspection even if
4/5 stars for great service with some difficulty mixed in, but they worked with us in the end.
I was a little concerned starting out since I saw some negative reviews. It didn't help that we got off to a difficult start due to the homeowners not cleaning their home properly. However, we greatly enjoyed Hunter's maintenance crew. They were always friendly, professional, and most importantly they were very knowledgeable and helpful! When it came time to leave we had some more difficulty due to our personal circumstances, but they were very generous in working with us. We also felt that we were great tenants for them as a rental company (I think we left the home in better condition than when we moved in).
I just want to say Hunter Rentals is a great place to rent from they work with you and understand how hard it is with looking for your first place. Kim was fantastic she shined a bright light over my confusion on how to keep your home well maintain ❤❤❤❤ If your lost let Hunter Rentals be your guide .Thank you Kim and The Hunter Rentals family
