A couple days later the maintenance wrench light came on just as I was hitting the road to head home. A quick check confirmed my suspicion. I had the oil change done early so it wouldn't be overdue when I arrived home after the trip. The maintenance counter didn't get reset after the oil change. Fortunately I knew how to do that.
Frank Castaneda was great to work with. No pressure, knowledgeable and friendly! I stopped by to look at a used vehicle, took a test drive, made the deal and was out the door with keys in hand in less than an hour and a half. Great experience!
Awesome service! Went in for a routine minor service for an oil change and tire rotation, Randy located 2 recalls for my 2011 Mazda CX-7 and got my airbag and passenger lever fixed. I wasn’t inconvenienced at all, no long wait, got a cute little loaner Mazda 3 that was fun to drive while my car was taken care of. The guys checked my battery and informed me it may need to be replaced and took care of that for me as well, I was concerned the charges were going to get pricey with the extra work but I got a good deal for the extra services and no charge for the recall work. I received several updates from Randy concerning my vehicle and when I came for pickup I was all set! I purchased my car from Roger Beasley Mazda in 2010 and prior to that my previous Mazda 6 was also from Roger Beasley. I never take my car anywhere else and have never had any issues with the service department, the staff are all friendly and knowledgeable, I always leave satisfied and feeling like I made a great decision! Thanks to the entire service team and I’ll continue referring and returning for all my future car needs!!
Service was a bit slower than I expected considering I had an appointment and was there before they even turned on to the lights. Not terrible, just slower than I expected for a simple oil change and tire rotation.
The good news is the price quite a bit lower than at home in San Diego.

Neither of these are serious problems but not confidence boosters either.
The next day, half way to Austin, my tire pressure light came on. I stopped and checked pressures and all was good. The invoice says tire pressures were set to factory specs. I was on a trip with a fully loaded car and had set the pressures a bit high, about two pounds. So I suspect the pressures were lowered a bit and then the system was not reset after the change, per the manual. I have only had this warning come on twice, both shortly after an oil change and tire rotation. Once here and once at home.
