I came in for birth control at 14 years old weighting maybe 130lbs . I was given depo and now 3.5 years later I have gained 70lbs! I am 18 years old and can not lose this weight! I was walking 4 miles a day and having a very average diet. When I brought this up to her she said eat right and exercise like I wasn't already doing that!!!! Now I'm in desperate need of help to lose this weight because I'm very unhappy and don't feel like myself. Now do to her negligence I will have to go to my primary care doctor and receive help there.

So many horrible things to say about this office I'm not sure where to start.....I was initially referred out to Dr Alka Rishi from Temple VA Hosptial due to not having an adequate gynecologist on staff within the hospital. It's been well over a month and she has yet to figure out why my body is reflecting that I'm pregnant. This poses and issue because as long as my body is projecting the pregnancy hormone my husband and I can't have a baby. Each time I had to do labs or have an ultrasound done it was here office staff's responsibility to correlate with Triwest (the insurance company that VA uses) and Temple VA authorization department to make sure the necessary authorizations were done. Last Monday I went into outpatient registration to check in for my early morning ultrasound (that I had been waiting a month for) only to be today that my appointment was canceled the day before as a result of not having an authorization. I had to argue with Dr Rishi's staff and patient appointments at the Metroplex in order for them to do there job by contacting Triwest to get the authorization faxed over to outpatient registration. I called yesterday (I'm sitting in her office now) to follow up on the ultrasound because it had been a week and I received no call. I was told to come in today at 1415. I arrived at 1350. I'm still waiting to see her and all they can say is she's back up. That's the wrong answer considering had I been late they would have marked me as a no call no show and made me reschedule. The metroplex as a online system where the doctor can go in to input the results of labs and notify the patient. She usually on spends like 2 mins with me only to tell me something that she could have put on the website or called me. This lady is a joke and so is her staff. I will be filing a grievance with VA as well as Triwest so that she can be black listed. Veterans and their family members should not have to go through the hassle of dealing with a "professional" who is obviously unprofessional.
