Dr Brock is a very smart and knowledgeable man. I think his experience shows in his work, I fought tooth and nail against his judgement but I was relieved that at the end he had my future in mind.....ps I think he'll make a great poker player, God bless his mind&heart.
All Together: Now that I am seeing a provider that I am comfortable with and takes my personal life into consiterable consideration I am beyond willing to wait the extra 30 minutes to see him during my monthly / bimonthly appointments. The chairs in the waiting area (although are attractive and functional) are incredibly uncomfortable, except for the couch.
Doctors: I was first placed with Dr. Freeman that made me feel inadequate and seemed to talk down to me. My husband and I have a short period of time that my OB gave us the okay to attempt to get pregnant (due to medical complications) and he refused to change my medications or even consider it (which is why I gave 4 stars and not 5). I immediately asked to be placed with a new provider because I did not feel comfortable with someone not listening to me, which that is pretty much his job. After this I was then switched to Dr. K. Brock and so far I am very satisfied with him as my provider. He has listened to me from the very beginning and is very open to changing my medications to help my husband and I have a better chance at being able to conceive with the very least risk factors involved. Down side, he does have a lot of patients, which limits my appointments (time in between one and another), but during the appointments, he makes it seems like it is "All About Me!" and he is not concerned about the time; which is kind of good and bad. Good, you get great service from him and time to actually go over everything. Bad, the patient before you is often with him until after your appointment was supposed to start and then your appointment starts late and so does the person's after yours, and so on. But I do not mind the wait for the great service he does and the attention to detail he gives each case he has.
Reception: Both the male and the female that work this position are amazing. It has gotten to the point where they check me in as I am walking in the door and it is absolutely painless. The male gentleman is amazing, he has been working with me on a personal situation and minus the phone tag we played for a few hours (which i found humorous), he is amazing at taking a stressful situation for me, and finding an easy and less painful solution.
Sitting in the waiting room. Appointment was at 8 just saw my doctor come in, 8:12. For dealing with soldiers you would think that being on time would be kind of important to them. Guess not.
This isnt a good place to start getting better,my experience wasnt nice the first time, the second time the thrird was the limit,The Doctor wasnt taking the time even to hear me,He GOOGLE the medincines in my FACE!!! and the recepcionist is a mean women, that want to give you an appoitment when she wants no WHEN YOU CAN....bottom line Find another place that deserve the time and effort IM putting to get better.
I really wish I could give Dr. Freeman no stars for such unprofessionallism. I am new to the area, just moving from Georgia and was told by my psychiatrist home to research some in the area I was moving to and I saw he had horrible reviews already but I decided to give him a chance my self. From the beginning of the session I was attacked. I have never felt so bad for having anxiety until I met him. He made me so uncomfortable from the beginning, made me feel like a complete utter idiot explaining my symptoms and past medications that have helped me tremendously and was deciding that I was not prescribed anything right, and kept turning my anxiety against me to make me feel like a bad person for needing medication. I felt like during the whole entire conversation I couldn't breathe, it was like a judgmental interview. I even started to cry looking out the window at one point, just breaking down because I was feeling so bad about myself. I had told him about my past illnesses that just happened not too long ago that I was hospitalized for and all he said was "those are not serious illnesses" and I finally stood up for myself and said those illnesses almost killed me. That is something a professional doctor should NEVER say. I finally realized that I had every right at that point to defend myself and told him that I was not going on any further with his session and felt attacked and he was not the right doctor for me. He then told me that "I was not worth it" and escorted me out of his room. If you are reading this, and deal with anxiety like I do and genuinely need help, please do not go here. It is not worth all of what I went through and look elsewhere and do research like I'm having to do now for someone who will help you get on the right track and not attacking you and making you feel bad for needing help. I will make sure I will not get billed for such a unnecessary trip, and such a waste of time with such a unprofessional doctor.
