Outstanding experience with this provider. I was a terrible mess worrying about everything and he always took the time to reassure me that everything will be ok. He always had time to answer all my questions and I absolutely never felt rushed during my visits. Would recommend him to all my female friends and family!
Dr.Allerkamp has been my ob for all three of my children. The first delivery he was not on call and I had to be induced due to low fluid and ended up having a c-section by dr.castellanos (when he was practicing there) second pregnancy, I told dr.allerkamp I was aiming for a vbac. He did not go against my wishes one time and was very encouraging he told me what my chances were of having one successfully and the potential risks. We had a very successful vbac and we're now aiming for another with this current pregnancy. Not all drs are willing to do vbacs due to having to stay in the hospital all day until you deliver, most drs would rather schedule a c section and go home!! I am so grateful for him. He genuinely cares, he listens, and does not discourage. He's so awesome that since I've moved to Dallas I drive to Killeen for my appts! I wouldn't have it any other way! I strongly recommend him as your obgyn!
DO NOT SEE THIS PROVIDER. My best friend went to him for a routine procedure for endometriosis Oct 2016. Now here we are 5 months later and she's admitted to another hospital in severe pain. She is under someone else's care stating she has developed PID caused by a abcess/bacterial infection. The access/bacterial infection is located on one of her ovaries, so now she will loose that ovary and not be able to have children because of THIS PROVIFERS carelessness. Not sure how he still has a practice. If you choose him as your provider make sure you have a good lawyer on standby because a few months down the line you will need them.
Do NOT see this provider. He does not share all the important information with you before having a tubal ligation. Tubal ligations DO affect your hormones and CAN cause early menopause. Shame on Dr. Allerkamp for not informing his patients of this risk!
