I just graduated from the EKG Technician course at the Killeen campus, and I love this school. The instructors and staff are very nice and encourage a laid back atmosphere while learning everything needed to be certified and work in your field of study. The people that the other reviews are complaining about are no longer there. And the owner of the school has an open door policy and you can go to him with ANY concerns. He does his best to solve the problem because he loves his school and loves what he does. Due to lack of resources, I had to pay cash for my course, but the staff works with you with payment arrangements (within reason). I would recommend this school to anyone that is looking for a career in the medical field. I'm excited and impatient to start working as an EKG technician while I wait for my national certification to arrive.
I am an alumnus of First Response Medical Training's CMAC program. My instructor showed me not just the basic skills of the profession but embodied what it was to be a professional and to have an abundance of empathy. I now work to help students find ways to pay for their education here. I believe in the mission of this school. Amanda and Angela are extremely dedicated instructors that go above and beyond for their students.I have seen both give countless weekends and late nights to ensure their students could grasp the material in the way they learned best. They listen to and console their students when they fall on hard times. This is a Military town and there are a lot of stressers and fears that come with that and we work to understand and accommodate our veterans and their spouses as they navigate what can be very hard times. Christine and Ricardo Acosta believe in people that others have given up on and sometimes that comes back in negative statements from negative people. This school has a great curriculum. We're not a diploma mill and we want to see our students thrive because we actually care about our students. We remember them years down the road. I came here because there was something special to me about a school that knew your name and cared about you. I came back to work here because I wanted to be a part of something I thought was rare and special. I am still here because each student still matters. All the horrid personal attacks in the world can't undo the hard work and dedication shown by the staff here at FRMT, it could simply deny potential students from knowing what it's like to go to a school that actually cares about more than just your money.
This school is a joke. Lost my paperwork for my final sticks and tells me that their isn't anything they can do about it because the employee that lost it no longer works there. So I paid all of that money out of pocket for nothing. Ridiculous!
I am glad I decided to go through First Response I was in and out. Within 15 minutes for my test. Their prices are affordable and they offered great customer service. Thank you First Response
I very much enjoyed learning at the round rock facility. However, after passing a National exam I have yet to receive my certification almost 2 moths later. Due to this inconvenience it has prolonged my start date as I need to show my credentials. Every time I call to find out whats going on I get another excuse or another expected day. Yet nothing has happened thus far. So I am writing this review to let people know about my experience here. Once again the schooling was great but this has been extremely frustrating.
