But like I said, the FOOD is excellent.
Food tastes great and service is quick. Pricing is a little steep for the amount of food given. Not an every day lunch stop but an occasional treat is definitely worth it.
My husband and I went to this location around 6-7pm on a week night. This place was dead. We ordered and found a place to sit. Although it was dead, many of the tables were dirty, and the staff were just walking around or chatting with each other. After a short wait, the employee who took our order came to our table with to-go bags and let us know he had made an error when placing our order and listed it as to-go. He did offer to take it back and put it on proper plates with silverware, but honestly, at that point it would have been a waste of time. I understand that mistakes happen, but I remember going to this location all the time when it opened and the dining room was very clean, staff acted like they cared and it was all around a nice place to go. It seems that time has gone by and the quality of this location has gown down dramatically.
Our order had some minor issues, which were fixed. The people seem amazing, but the input of orders could use some help. This goes back to user interface issues with their ordering software.
Food is excellent!! BUT, I am not impressed with the overall cleanliness, and also do not like those self checkout stations. I am a germophobe to a degree, and do not appreciate having to touch screens where others have deposited their germs before me right before I am about to eat. Even though I can wash my hands, the thought just is not appetizing at all. Panera - you need to figure out something else.
It's limiting the people working there, makes inputting orders more challenging, and I think it's a major area of growth potential for this Panera bread.
It seems like there's a big push for using technology this specific Panera bread (I've been to one in Austin and it's not so tech focused). I like the idea, but the implementation could use some help.
Food here is always done right, and the rapid pickup is perfect. My favorite menu item is the Clam Chowder (only available on Fridays). It's rich, creamy, with nice chunks of clam. I've had clam chowder all over the world and this is some of the best! I just wish it was available every day!
Also, these stations are set up right at the entrance, so during busy times, there is a slight cluster when you come in. If you are new to the joint, it's a bit confusing as to how the ordering process works.
There's only 1 cashier and a ton of digital checkout kiosks. I'm tech savvy, but the user interface on the kiosks isn't very friendly, so I prefer to checkout with an actual cashier. This seems to be the trend with other patrons, since there's always a line for the cashier and rarely anyone uses the kiosks.
