Our second year hosting T'giving dinner at the Shiloh Inn's buffet.
Had lunch here the food and service is as best I've had at a five star restaurant and also the price is very reasonable dont understand why Shilo does not advertise more in all three news papers
Crazy good chicken was moist and very flavorful my honey looooooved the ribs.....first time having a prickly pear margarita was awesome..... y'all don't know what your missing large portions and the staff they are so nice
Not very busy upon entry, yet the service was mediocre, at best. Seemed very unorganized and inexperienced in terms of the wait staff. No knowledge of the menu and ingredients. Waited at least 15 minutes to get water. The wine selection was decent, however, the selection physically available was lacking. Also, the food was not the greatest, at least not what the prices would have indicated. The chicken breast was the consistency of moist rubber. The steak was incredibly tough to chew and cut, especially with the issued butter knife. The only redeeming quality about the food was the half-rack of ribs and sweet potato fries, albeit a bit salty. Extremely disappointed. For 3 people, 1 cocktail and glass of wine it was $84 not including tip. Trip Advisor indicated that this was the number one restaurant in the Killeen area... After this experience, I must beg to differ.
Ordered room service when we stayed in the hotel. We got catfish, which was good and really good tarter sauce to go with it. Would have liked more for the price though.also got mac and cheese, which was also delicious and a huge serving. Both were still hot upom delivery. Also got the cheesecake, it was a big serving and was freshly made and light. We ended up getting more for my grandma and she enjoyed it (has trouble eating some foods now) the apple cobler was also really good and a big serving and served hot, also seemed freshly made.
Great food and lots of it... prices are very reasonable with discounts for kids, teens, oldsters, and military... wait staff excellent w/out hovering... very personable turkey carver (hilarious and very sweet to a group of grey haired ladies)... all in all a great dinner with tons of options to suit any taste.
All were gracious serving sizes for the price. And room service seemed quick
