No disrespect to this church either. We are all human in the end.
The pastor hands down is a great preacher (that's why I kept attending) but as members you have the greater responsibility to take care of one another not just the people you know. One of my friends has been there 5 years and STILL knows no one but her own children she takes. Today I invited her to my church after our conversation.

Also, saying thank you for coming is not all it takes to keep a person coming back. Acknowledge everyone not just the people who came to church with you. This goes for in and out of church. When church ends people struggle to say hi- it was awkward to smile and have people just walk by. Where is the love they say they have?
Family Oriented. I really felt a connection to the members of the church, they were like family to us while we lived in the area for 5 years. Bishop Holcomb is amazing at preaching and feeding you the word of God. My children absolutely loved the children's church. Thank you for enlightening us and teaching my family the Bible. I will surely miss this church.
the church building fund and that church stayed the same, even though it was packed everyday. Also another thing I heard him say was if you want to be apart, be apart, join an auxiliary and you will meet people. Lastly, Bishop tells us, it's NOT ABOUT him, but about HIM. He is not trying to get us closer to him. He is a sheep too and we all need a shepherd. I thank God my family and I have pastors who love Christ and feed my family God's word and not his own. This church invites people to attend but doesn't know what to do with them once they visit. Personally attended this church for over 6 months and never really met anyone and I'm sure no one even noticed. I hope the members see this and really do something to make a difference.
A few years ago this Organization helped me retain my ability to seeing another day in my home. So, yes I Thank God, for such A helping church filled with smiles and caring Christians.
I have grown spiritually in this church, however, when I came to CHOP, I was a babe in Christ. At first, I was not going to join because I had come from such a small church and I felt as if I didn't know anyone. I remember one thing that helped me decide to join was when Bishop said anything that's of God will grow. If your are new to the Fort Hood area come fellow where the people of God who have an appreciation, affection, and an aspiration for word and house of God. Dynamic preaching and praise and worship. The members have warm hearts and smiles when you come through the door. It's a little bit of home away from home. Bishop Nate and Pastor Valerie are anointed founders and leaders.
